Dropzone 3 App Reviews

I love using dropzone to play videos that I have downloaded or ripped. As long as the file names are ordered sequentially, I can use the Containing folder as a sort of pseudo play list. I can add my favorite video app to my grid and then drag my folder on to the app and a playlist is generated with all my videos in the right order. I also enjoy the added convenience of adding important files to the Dropbar for quick and easy access later without having to traverse the file system manually or having to search for it.

Works as advertised.

I store different types of files in a variety of disk volumes, dmgs, and even iCloud. Dropzone turns the task of drilling through to the various locations to a quick drag and drop. For that reason alone it is worth the money to me.

Dropzone is awesome. Just the ability to drag it up to the menu bar to prompt the actual “drop zone” is huge, and is something that I didn’t know I wanted until it was actually updated. Seriously, if you do a lot of file management, transferring, attaching fies, etc., Dropzone is the easiest way to move things around compared to any other application I have ever tried. But seriously, check it out. Definitely worth the $5 if you like to keep everything organized and be more productive!

Think about all the times you have to drag stuff around to move and upload and share and send. Now hold back the tears of all that time lost, because you’ve finally found a better way: Dropzone 3. It’s super useful, and probably my only complaint is that I wish more apps and services were built in right out of the box. For example, I shorten links a lot with Bitly, but that’s only avialable as a plugin from the website. I think it would be smart to have more of that stuff built in out of the box to help blow people’s minds straight out of the gate at how much time they can save. Dropzone 3 wipes away the tears of wasted productivity. Get it.

Dropzone lets you bypass the overhead of opening Finder windows, clicking on sidebar links, and opening shortcuts or applications you find yourself trudging through over and over. A handy tool that makes working on my Mac even easier.

A much better drag and drop file solution than anything that’s a part of Apple’s Mac OS...

I am learning to love this application. It is very useful right out of the box with prebuilt or downloadable Actions. Even better, it is highly customizable with simple Ruby programming. I easily automated some work tasks to streamline my day. Get it, you will not regret it.

I’ve owned dropzone for over a year, but just now started really applying my own actions. This is such a workflow optimizer! As an example, I’m writing code for a BeagleBone Black mini-computer. I’m using a nice gui editor on my mac, but I have to keep manually copying the files over to the other computer via SCP (secure copy) to run the programs on the mini-computer. With Dropzone, I installed an SCP action, entered the details for the target destination, and within 30 seconds, I could drag-and-drop files to that computer. Dropzone even provides a nice progress animation on the transfer. Honestly, that single example justified the cost of this app for me.

Beautiful design, infinitely useful. One of the best Mac utilities ever created. I use this in my daily workflow to easily keep my files organized and easy to access instead of a cluttered mass that I have to spend too much time on. Flexible enough to allow creative minds to think of a wide range of uses for this app!

I’ve contacted Aptonic support already. Their user guide is not up to date and I’m having a hell of a time getting all of the bells and whistles working. Really not impressed thusfar. Can I get a refund?

Dropzone 3 is just… awesome. It makes organizing my files, making .zip files, uploading to Drive, etc. just so much faster and more efficient than ever before. I have yet to find a negative about this app. I couldn’t recommend Dropzone 3 highly enough. Totally worth the $5. Go download it!

Awesome tool for “making time” by allowing quick shortcuts to folders. A bargain at the low price...

How many times have you had to move several files at once? How many times have you had to copy several files at once? Move one file or copy one file? This it THE utility for doing all that and more. Launch the app, it shows up in your toolbar, drag/copy away. I would get it straight from the developer. Is it more than the version here? Yes. However, purchasing from the developer gets you more ways to utilize this app since that version doesn’t have to conform to the sandboxing rules that the App store imposes on developers. Either way, this is one of those must have applications.

Thanks so much for developing this application as I was able to quickly to clean up my desktop with three categories i.e. links, photos, files. I surely plan to follow you in future products you develop. Ricky H.

I move a lot of files a day into many folders and sometimes have to search a file to be attached to a mail, and just found this utility making the job more easier ! Thanks

Easy, intuitive, and it Just Works (TM). So far, I haven’t thought of a feature that I really wish it had.

Can’t even use it. Instantly froze my MacPro like no other program has ever done. Cant do anything, frozen for about ten secons before you can click anything, then frozen again, ans so on. I run demanding programs on my mac, but they do not freeze it like this program does.

I only use it to drag and drop between windows but that was worth it. This works a lot better than other applications of the same function.
